There are so many events happening this weekend, you really need to plan ahead so you don’t miss anything! How convenient is it that everything you need to know is right here?

Barsha Wines and Spirits is hosting a Summer Wine Dinner featuring Made by Meg and Jada Winery on Thursday, June 6. Guests will enjoy a beautiful five course meal designed by Chef Meg Hall of Made by Meg and the dishes will be paired with five wines from Jada Winery in Paso Robles. Terrenea Resort is proud to present Nelson’s Summer Concert Series every weekend through September 2nd. Every Friday, Saturday and select Sunday evenings from 5 to 9 p.m., guests will enjoy live music on Nelson’s new, bluff-side, Beer Garden overlooking the deep blue. Cruise at the Beach happens every Friday night through October with vintage automobiles on display in the Ruby’s Diner parking lot from 4 to 8 p.m. Enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their hot rods, street rods and muscle cars and strut their stuff. The evening also features trivia, trophies and raffle. Ruby’s Diner is located at 245 North Harbor Drive in Redondo Beach. This event is free and open to the public, so take a stroll through the parking lot and marvel at this fine collection of classic automobiles. The second annual CA 101 2013 Art Exhibit is a juried art exhibition being presented by Friends of Redondo Beach Arts, Redondo Beach Art Group and AES Redondo Beach. Artists from the Oregon border to the Mexican border will exhibit their creative impressions of life today in California in a variety of mediums including, sculpture, paintings, glasswork and photography. The event features a number of artists from right here in the South Bay. The CA 101 2013 Art Exhibit will be displayed for two consecutive weekends – June 7 through June 9 and again on June 14 through June 16 – at the historic AES Power Plant in Redondo Beach. If you’ve ever driven along the coast of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, chances are you’ve caught a glimpse of the Point Vicente Lighthouse. Built in 1926, the 67 foot high tower is perched on a cliff offering breathtaking views of the endless Pacific. This is a working lighthouse and its beacon can be seen from over twenty miles at sea. The Lighthouse is open to the public on the second Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and admission is free. While you’re there, be sure to visit the Point Vicente Interpretive Center. After climbing the lighthouse tower and touring the Interpretive Center, stroll along the scenic trail or relax at one of the picnic tables dotting the grounds while taking in vistas of Catalina Island and contemplating the deep blue. Pack a picnic basket and prepare for a lovely afternoon. The Point Vicente Lighthouse is located at 31501 Palos Verdes Drive West in Rancho Palos Verdes. Chevron is proud to sponsor the First Annual Roundhouse Aquarium Fun Run for the Oceans on World Oceans Day, Saturday, June 8. This 5K family-friendly run/walk gets underway at 9:30 a.m. at the Manhattan Beach Pier and will benefit the Roundhouse Aquarium. The event will raise funds to support the Aquarium’s ocean education programs and classes. Stop by the Roundhouse after the race to learn more about the oceans and marine life. World Oceans Day activities are scheduled throughout the afternoon. Race check-in will be on the north side of the pier in the sand near the showers and pier. The race will begin and end in the wet sand. Registration is $35 per person and includes a T-shirt, water and refreshments. The first, second and third place finishers in each division will receive great prizes. A raffle will be held after race with even more prizes! The Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce presents the 26th Annual Palos Verdes Street Fair and Music Festival. This very popular event takes place Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m to 10 p.m. and Sunday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Norris Center Drive in Rolling Hills Estates between the Peninsula Center and the Promenade on the Peninsula mall. Enjoy shopping, music, dining and entertainment with more than 200 arts and crafts booths, carnival rides, International Food Court, Beer Garden, children’s petting zoo and pony rides, community events, pet adoptions and continuous live entertainment on two separate stages. The Top Dogs Show will be held on Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to noon. Trophies and ribbons will be awarded in categories such as Best Costume, Fastest Wagging Tail and Best Kisser. Tribute bands will be showcased on the Main Stage and under the Big Tent and will feature several different music genres including country, pop, Latin, jazz and rock and roll. Free parking is available at Peninsula High School with a free shuttle service to and from the Fair. The campus parking lot is located on Silver Spur Road near the corner of Hawthorne Boulevard. Get out your bike, wetsuit and running shoes. It’s triathlon time! The 9th Annual Redondo Beach Triathlon, sponsored by California Health Plans, will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2012 and features two separate events: a sprint and mini-sprint. The event gets underway at 7:30 a.m. at Veteran’s Park in Redondo Beach. The sprint will consist of a ½ mile swim, a 6 mile bike ride and 2 mile run. The mini-sprint entails a ¼ mile swim, a 3 mile bike ride and 1 mile run. For those that have never competed in a triathlon, the mini-sprint is a great way to become acquainted with the sport. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each division and the top two relay teams. Sprint fees are $65 (ages 13-19 and 65 and older), $75 (ages 20-64), $105 (relay). Mini-sprint fees are $55 and $85 for the relay. Add an extra $20 for Saturday registration. There will be no registration on race day and USAT membership is required. This event is back by popular demand. The Friends of Redondo Beach Arts is proud to present Art on the Wall on Sunday, June 9 at SEA Lab in Redondo Beach. The event will raise funds for a public art project comprising a series of colorful mosaics and will take place between 4:30 and 7 p.m. The mosaics will feature water sports scenes by artists Patrice Linnet and Deborah Collette and will be installed on the wall next to SEA Lab that runs along Harbor Drive. Several local restaurants will be offering items from their menus including, Bluewater Grill, Ruby’s Diner, Tony’s on the Pier and Quality Seafood, among others. Advance tickets can be purchased for $30 for adults and $20 for youths aged 8 to 16. Children under 7 will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult. At the door, tickets will be $5 extra. Free parking will be available across the street at the AES parking lot.
