"If you know the art of breathing you have the strength, wisdom and courage of ten tigers."
~♥~ Chinese adage
Yoga is not a religion or simple philosophical belief. Yoga is not Hindu, it is not Islam or Christian or Judaism . Yoga is a pure science just like mathematics, physics or chemistry. Chemistry is not Christian, nor is Physics Buddhist. One can correctly think of Yoga as an independent platform, it's open source.

In my teachings at my studio and classes around the country, Shakti Yoga Trip I remind the Light Beings in my charge that all things begin from Subtle (thought) to Gross (manifestation). Author and spirit manager U.S. Anderson proposed, "The physical world is but a tiny extension of a vast spiritual realm. All physical law is subordinate to spiritual law." Like life and death, yoga begins with the subtle energy of the Breath. When our souls connect to a body and enter this realm of existence through the phenomenon of birth, the delivery team waits anxiously to hear the first breath and when we pass from this life the doctor or attendant listens carefully and must call the time of death, the final exhale. The life we live in between these transformative events is about how we relate to and manage our breathing......
Yoga in action, off the mat, out of the studio and in the real world, that is where the Yoga "source code" is most relevant. South Bay LA is a HUB of enlightened educators who will congregate this weekend to spread love, light and sprinkle "fairy dust" to lift our collective spirits at the South Bay Yoga Conference in Redondo Beach!

Becoming aware of your breath throughout the day should be a daily pursuit. A faithful practice of pranayama (yoga of the breath), which can be practiced anywhere at anytime, and is another fantastic and fundamental tool in our box of healthcare prevention techniques. Learning proper breathing techniques helps us to achieve a sense of calm yet attentiveness. Proper breathing helps illuminate the dark crevices of our psyche, helps us explore the guarded places in our wounded souls that influence our Intentions and current behaviors. With each cleansing and conscious breath we are capable of releasing the ties that bind our mind and spirit by letting go of guilt, shame, remorse, pain and anxieties often born of fear and confusion.
Proper breathing brings an expansive quality to our life (((Force))) and life experience. Pranayama (breath work) in combination with asana (postures), renders the "programmer" in a state of conscious calm trance that facilitates clear thinking and proactive problem solving , decreasing the instances of unconscious reactivity to perceived challenges and blockages. These mighty Tools train us to pay attention to our awareness in each moment. We learn to become present with the knowledge that what happened 5seconds ago is the past and cannot be modified or changed. What we anticipate to come in 2 days is the future and the future is not promised. Living in the past brings on depression, while living for the future invites anxiety. All we truly posses is this moment, here and now.
This August we look at expanding our awareness of breath in the realm of increased stamina. Fortunately for the residence and visitors of the South Bay beach cities of Los Angeles there is a wonderful forum to introduce and re-enforce our awareness. The South Bay Yoga Conference takes place in Redondo Beach this weekend August 9-11. This is the 2nd year with something for everyone, Free workshops and classes along with awesome specialty workshops. I’m excited to learn, share and connect with like-minded individuals on the path to self- help and preventative healthcare in action! Nutritionist and Yoga as therapy in many forums will be explored and I cannot wait!
When I hear, “mind into matter.” I interpret this to mean thoughts convert to matter when charged by the power of effective and conscious breathing. A runner repeating the mantra, "one more step," a laboring mother repeating the mantra, "one more push." Is actually practicing yoga in real life and applying the philosophy, “Mind tricks the body,” SBYC is the community opportunity to upgrade our programs and Metta code!
