“I was proud to honor Ernie O’Dell from Redondo Beach at this special recognition ceremony,” said Muratsuchi, “Mr. O’Dell has made many lasting contributions to our community not only as a veteran but as a resident of the 66th Assembly District. He is most deserving of this honor.”
Mr. O’Dell was the inspiration behind the new memorial in Veterans Park. He and a group of South Bay Veterans formed the Redondo Beach Veterans Memorial Task Force and raised over a quarter of a million dollars to make the monument a reality.
