Yoga on the Pier: Posing for a Purpose

Hey! For all of you that thought it might be too cold for Yoga on the Pier last Monday......it is amazing how warm you get when doing a pack of "downward dogs". The word is definitely spreading…more than one hundred participants enjoyed the evening despite the brisk weather.

Participants even got their photo in last Tuesday’s edition of the L.A. Times. Fox News made it out to document the event as well. It’s not every day you see that many people posing on the Pier.

There was also a raffle for those who made donations to Cancer Support Community and the prizes were great. There were gift cards for Kincaids Restaurant, and fabulous yoga gear such as blocks and mats and travel bags donated by Manduka Yoga Equipment company. Thanks to both of these wonderful companies. Almost everybody who made a donation received a prize.

With only two Monday nights left of Yoga on the Pier, you better mark your calendar. Josie, yoga instructor from Sprectrum Health Club, who was with us the first week and Valinda from our second week on the pier will be with us once again for the last two sessions. Can’t wait until Monday!
