UPDATED: Death Of Woman In Nearby Palo Alto Home 'Likely Homicide'

Detectives ruled out suicide and have no significant leads in the case.

Palo Alto, CA -- Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman found inside a Palo Alto home Thursday evening as "likely a homicide."

The woman was in her 60s, but hasn't been identified as of this afternoon, according to police.
A relative who was looking for the woman found her body at a home in the 300 block of Creekside Drive and called dispatch at around 7:40 p.m., police said.

Officers responded to the home where they conducted an investigation and secured a search warrant to the woman's Creekside Drive home this morning, according to police.

Investigators have been processing the crime scene and are expected to continue on Saturday, police said.

They will interview people who knew the woman or may know what happened to her, according to police.

The Santa Clara County medical examiner's office has taken custody of the body and will conduct an autopsy, police said.
