REDWOOD CITY, CA — A Redwood City man was sentenced Friday to nine years in prison for molesting numerous young boys while working as a babysitter.

Angel Leopoldo Gutierrez Monney, 32, was arrested in September 2018 after a concerned father contacted the San Mateo County Sheriff's office, the Mercury News reported. The boy told his father that Gutierrez Money had sent inappropriate messages to other boys he was friends with, according to prosecutors.

Investigators found that Gutierrez Money had been working as a ride-share driver and babysitter, eventually befriending a group of boys between the ages of 10 and 13. He babysat the boys, took them out to eat and spent the night at their homes, prosecutors said. He was eventually arrested for abusing several of the boys.
