Redwood City Man Arrested For East Bay Burglary: Police
Their getaway car crashed in Martinez with the suspects taking off on foot, police report.

PINOLE, CA — Three burglary suspects in a Pinole break-in were tracked down after they crashed their getaway car in Martinez, police said.
Pinole police were alerted to the burglary on Thursday by a resident who called shortly before 2 p.m. to report two people entering the backyard of his neighbor's home in the 3900 block of Ponderosa Trail, according to a news release from police.
Officers were securing the area when the homeowner arrived and the suspects fled in a silver Lexus waiting nearby. They were seen getting onto eastbound Highway 4 from Interstate Highway 80.

After an alert for the suspects' car was broadcast to law enforcement, a Hercules officer who happened to be in Martinez spotted the car headed eastbound on Highway 4 approaching Alhambra Avenue, police said.
When the suspects' car exited on Alhambra, it crashed and four suspects fled the vehicle.

Police located and arrested three suspects: John Woods, 24, of Redwood City, Jhacorieo Rooney, 25, of Oakland and Justin Dorsey, 30 of San Francisco. A fourth suspect, for whom a detailed description was not available, has not been located or identified.
Stolen property from the Pinole home was found in the suspects' car, police said.
