Redwood City's 150th Anniversary Committee Seeks 'Faces of the Community' Nominees for Portrait Series

"Everyone is invited to nominate their friends, family or even themselves."

REDWOOD CITY, CA - To celebrate the City's 150th anniversary this year, Redwood City's Sesquicentennial Committee, a diverse group of civic and community leaders, is seeking nominations for "The Faces of our Community 2.0 Photo Project, a portrait series that will highlight 150 community members who represent the incredible diversity of Redwood City. Deadline is March 17.

Everyone is invited to nominate their friends, family or even themselves; they don't need to be a local leader, celebrity or luminary, according to Committee Co-Chair Barbara Pierce.

"The heart of our community is the people who live, work or study here," said Pierce. "This exciting new portrait series will celebrate their diversity. We want nominators to tell us why they think this person should be one of the 150 faces of the community!"
