City of Rohnert Park's 50th Anniversary Parade and Festival

The City of Rohnert Park hosts a fun and free celebration for all-ages in honor of its 50th Birthday this September!



The City of Rohnert Park will be holding a day-long event on Saturday, September 15, 2012 to celebrate the City’s 50th Anniversary. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. with a parade of grand marshals, elected officials, floats, bed races, local businesses, and live bands. Our local high school, , adds its back-to-school Homecoming to the parade. The 1.5 mile route will travel down Snyder Lane to Rancho Cotati High School.

After the parade, continue the party at the at 5401 Snyder Lane in Rohnert Park. The part consists of a full afternoon of live music, local foods, beverages for kids and adults, arts and crafts, plus many kid activities. The music line-up includes the Poyntlyss Sisters, the Rotten Tomatoes and Wonder Bread 5. The Mistress of Ceremonies is our own local entertainer, Cathy Slack.

This event is all made possible by fundraisers, sponsors, donors, parade participants, local businesses and organizations, elected officials, plus a dedicated team of community volunteers.
