City Responds to Safety Complaints on Southwest and Commerce

Lately, the Department of Public Works has received several complaints from residents about the dangerous conditions of the blind turn area on Southwest Boulevard at the intersection of Commerce. 

Public Works staff are moving forward on addressing the complaints and providing requested services. The workers will be clearing brush, shrubbery, weeds and other debris that are blocking areas of the bike lane.  

This will enhance cyclist safety and will help to improve visibility for drivers. The project will take approximately two weeks to complete and we appreciate the community’s patience during this time.
