Median Landscaping Improvements

Public Works landscape crews are giving a little extra TLC to targeted landscaped medians throughout the community. Crews recently focused on the medians located along Rohnert Park Expressway at the west side of 101. This is an important gateway area to the city and its appearance has been impacted by the ongoing construction of Highway 101. The landscape improvements will help make the area more attractive and improve visibility for drivers and pedestrians.  Medians along Southwest Boulevard are scheduled to receive similar improvements.

Traffic Signals Re-timed

To make traffic signals operate more efficiently and more safely, Rohnert Park has adjusted the green light, yellow light and red light timing of traffic signals throughout the city. This will save motorists time while providing pedestrians and cyclists a few extra moments to cross at some locations. As part of the project the length of the yellow lights will be brought into compliance with national and state standards. Please drive safely and be prepared to stop when a traffic signal changes to a yellow light.
