New Speed Limit Signs Posted
Have you noticed the new signs? New speed limits posted. Drive safely.
This past November, Rohnert Park City Council approved new speed limits along a number of city streets. The new speed limit signs were posted by the Department of Public Works earlier this week. All drivers should follow the posted limits and practice safe driving habits.
Streets impacted by the new speeds limits include:
Street From To New Speed Limit Commerce Boulevard Golf Course Avram 40 mph Commerce Boulevard Avram Southwest 35 mph Golf Course Drive Commerce Country Club 40 mph Labath Avenue Business Park Drive Rohnert Park Expressway 35 mph Redwood Drive Willis South of city limits 40 mphThe increased speed limits are based on speed surveys conducted by the city in September 2011 and represent the average speed drivers travel along these roads. The new speed limits will allow public safety to enforce the speed limit and improve vehicle and pedestrian safety along the roadways.
