But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents should expect warm and dry conditions this week ahead of a cooling trend for Friday through next weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
"Warm and dry conditions can be expected through most of this week," NWS Los Angeles forecasters wrote Sunday. "There will be some coastal low clouds and fog at times, but otherwise skies will remain mostly clear. There will be gusty north winds through tonight and gusty onshore winds through most of the week."
