Average San Diego Area Gas Price Drops To Lowest Amount Since March 10

The run of dropping prices follows a 35-day streak of increases totaling $1.274 that pushed the average price to a record $6.018 March 29.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Wednesday to its lowest amount since March 10, decreasing a half-cent to $5.73.

The average price has dropped 23 of the past 29 days, decreasing 28.8 cents, including 1 cent Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. The run of dropping prices follows a 35-day streak of increases totaling $1.274 that pushed the average price to a record $6.018 March 29.

The average price is 2.9 cents less than one week ago and 28.3 cents lower than one month ago but $1.692 more than one year ago.
