Northgate Gonzalez Market Stores Open Early For Seniors, Disabled

The company has 19 stores in Los Angeles County, 13 in Orange County, eight in San Diego County and one in Riverside County.

SAN DIEGO, CA — In response to the new coronavirus pandemic, the Northgate Gonzalez Market chain is opening its stores an hour early each day for senior citizens and disabled customers.

The company has 41 stores in Southern California, including eight locations in San Diego County.

"We recognize the challenge facing seniors and other at-risk populations and we need to address them by providing them an opportunity to shop for essentials without fear or trepidation," Northgate Co-President Miguel Gonzalez said.

Customers who are 65 and older or disabled will be able to shop from 7-8 a.m. Stores will be open to the general public from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

"Our customers and store associates' safety are our number one concern" Gonzalez said. "This is just one solution we are looking at to help Southern California residents sustain their health and nourishment needs."

The Anaheim-based company has 19 stores in Los Angeles County, 13 in Orange County, eight in San Diego County and one in Riverside County.

  • Chula Vista: 1058 3rd Ave.
  • Escondido: 606 N Escondido Blvd.
  • Fallbrook: 1346 S Mission Road
  • San Diego: 5403 University Ave.
  • San Diego: 1410 S 43rd St.
  • San Diego: 1950 Main St.
  • San Diego: 2909 Coronado Ave.
  • Vista: 1150 E Vista Way
