Social Recommendation App Rayka Launches in San Diego

Rayka, an innovative new travel app launched this week in San Diego, Denver and Charleston. The app celebrates recommendations, not reviews.

Rayka, the social recommendation platform for the modern traveler, announced this week the official launch of its new app in San Diego, Denver and Charleston. Previously known as a study abroad planner, Rayka has revamped its platform to help users explore the best places to eat, drink and see both locally and globally, curated by influencers, travel-lovers and residents alike. Described as “if Instagram and Trip Advisor had a baby,” the Rayka app uses images and descriptions to provide recommendations - forgoing the usual 1-5 star ranking system that promotes bias and negativity.

In addition, users can also find city-specific inspiration on the app by following influencers and travel pros they admire or by exploring different groups, including “San Diego’s Features on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” and "The Best Adrenaline Rushes in San Diego.”
