SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As the weekend wraps, we've rounded up some of the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
It’s going to be a wet, windy week across the Bay Area as an atmospheric river moves across the state, and Monday is supposed to see some of the heaviest rains. Coastal mountains could see as much as six inches of rain, according to the National Weather Service. Rain is expected to continue through Thursday, likely causing BART delays and traffic snarls.
In other news, a five-year-old was killed and another young child seriously injured after a car crashed into a tree in Martinez. Authorities suspect alcohol may have been a factor. In other news, Redwood City police are searching for a carjacker who reportedly threw a driver out of a moving vehicle and then set the car on fire. Lastly, a San Francisco jury convicted a man of biting a cop while trying to arrest him.
