Al Green, Patti Labelle, Bomba Estéreo Among Free Upcoming SF Summer Concerts
The Stern Grove Festival returns for its 89th year with a star-studded series of concerts.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Patti Labelle, Al Green and Bomba Estéreo are amongst several high-profile artists who will be performing at the Stern Grove Festival this summer.
The Stern Grove Festival is the United States's longest-running free music festival. It's put on for free each summer at Stern Grove Park in San Francisco.
The first concert will kick off with headliners Peter Cat Recording on Sunday, July 14. Marinero and DJ TBD will also be performing.

The star-studded lineup will also include Japanese Breakfast on Sunday, June 28 and Major Lazer on Sunday, July 5.
Legendary soul singer Al Green will headline the final concert on Sunday, Aug. 16.

Tickets are free through a lottery system that will open each week, starting on May 3 for the first concert. People interested in guaranteeing their seat can buy a community table seat for $200 or their own table for $2,000.
The San Francisco Symphony performed the first concert ever at Stern Grove in 1932. Since then, it has featured a variety of artists such as Diana Ross, Toro Y Moi and Orville Peck.
