All 9 SF Mass Shooting Victims Expected To Survive
Police have not announced the arrest of a suspect yet.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Although a suspect is still at large after Friday's shooting that injured nine people in San Francisco's Mission District, police said there is no threat to the public, according to a statement issued late Monday night by the San Francisco Police Department.
The shooting occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Friday near the area of 24th Street and Treat Avenue, about a block north of Garfield Square. Officers arriving at the scene found nine people with gunshot wounds and the suspect already gone.
Police said investigators believe that this incident appears to be targeted and isolated and that there is "no known threat to the public at this time."

All shooting victims are expected to survive, police said.
"This kind of violence on our streets in unacceptable," Chief of Police William Scott said in the statement. "People should feel safe to go out in San Francisco without fear of being victims of gun violence. Our investigators are working diligently on this case, and we will have a visible police presence moving forward in the community where this occurred."
