'8 Days of Dumplings' In SF: Clear Your Calendars

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — San Francisco restaurant M.Y. China will soon kick off "8 Days of Dumplings," that not only brings us eight days of deliciousness, but also coincides with the number "eight" — often associated with both prosperity and good fortune.

So to be lucky, prosperous ... and sated, check out this round of delicacies designed around "National Dumpling Day" and offered by M.Y. China, located on the fourth floor of the Westfield Shopping Centre from Sept. 22 to 29.

Created by M.Y. China executive chef Tony Wu, the dumpling specials feature hand-crafted dumplings with different fillings and different folds available in limited quantities during lunch and dinner from Sept. 22 to Sept. 29 for $28.

The "Great 8 Steamed Dumpling Basket" will include the following:

  1. Veggie – peashoots, corn, carrots, spinach, tofu, spinach wrapper
  2. Mushroom – enoki, shiitake, king oyster, wood ear, beech mushroom
  3. Fish - Seabass, tobiko
  4. Pork – pork and chive
  5. Lobster
  6. Shrimp – squid ink wrapper
  7. Duck - Peking duck, scallion, hoisin
  8. Chicken – chive, ginger, sesame, egg, tobiko, turmeric wrapper
