SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should get up to speed about how heavy rain and powerful king tides battered parts of Northern California over the weekend, submerging roads, stranding drivers and prompting emergency responses across multiple counties.

In the East Bay, police in Fremont investigated a deadly domestic incident after police said a 93-year-old man turned himself in for killing his spouse. Authorities said the 86-year-old woman was found dead in a commercial parking lot, marking one of several violent and fatal incidents reported across the region as storms and public safety emergencies unfolded simultaneously.
