Notable SF Bar Owner Arrested After Baseball Bat Attack Over Parking Space: Report (patch.com) — San Franciscans may recognize the bar owner arrested after an alleged baseball bat assault that began with a parking dispute near an Upper Haight clothing store. Police say the longtime proprietor of Mad Dog in the Fog and Kezar Pub attacked a store employee hours after a filmed argument over a parking space, leading to booking on serious assault and robbery suspicions.
   

2. Good Samaritan Was Protecting Women On Muni Bus Before Suspect Slashed His Throat: DA (patch.com) — Riders on San Francisco's Muni system are learning more about a brutal stabbing on a South of Market bus, where prosecutors say a man slashed a passenger's throat after being confronted for harassing two women. The victim, hailed as a protector of the women, suffered critical injuries but is expected to survive, while the suspect now faces attempted murder and other serious charges.
   

3. Man Drives Himself To Hospital After Being Shot On Bay Bridge: CHP (patch.com) — Drivers heading to and from San Francisco over the weekend faced a serious disruption when a man was shot while traveling eastbound on the Bay Bridge and then drove himself to a hospital. CHP briefly shut all eastbound lanes to investigate and is now asking the public for tips as detectives work to identify a suspect and motive.
   

4. City report on Flock cameras finds no sanctuary violation by SFPD — but urges tighter oversight (missionlocal.org) — San Francisco's Human Rights Commission says SFPD didn't technically violate the city's sanctuary law when federal and out-of-state agencies accessed data from Flock license plate cameras, but it's urging tighter controls. The report recommends shorter data retention, stricter access rules, and closer oversight of Flock's nationwide search features, while civil liberties advocates argue the city should drop the vendor altogether.
   

5. Bicyclist Injured in San Francisco Crash with Muni Bus on Laguna Honda Boulevard (pacificattorneygroup.com) — A bicyclist was seriously injured Saturday afternoon when he reportedly ran a red light and was struck by a Muni bus on Laguna Honda Boulevard near Woodside Avenue, close to Forest Hill Station in San Francisco. Firefighters responded quickly and rushed him to a trauma center, while investigators continue to examine what led up to the collision and whether any further safety measures are needed at the intersection.
