San Francisco Man Arrested Following Robbery

The suspect was arrested after the alleged getaway vehicle crashed.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Police arrested a man Saturday after he allegedly robbed a store in San Bruno and evaded police who tried to stop him.

According to San Bruno police, at 4:26 p.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of El Camino Real on a report of a theft at a department store. Officers quickly located a vehicle that the suspects used to flee
the scene. Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but it failed to yield and fled the area, police said.

According to police, a short time later the same vehicle was involved in a traffic collision in South San Francisco and the driver fled on foot.

South San Francisco police located and arrested the suspect, who was identified as 28-year-old Royce Colvin of San Francisco, police said. A subsequent investigation determined that a robbery was committed
at the department store in San Bruno. Police determined that Colvin participated in the crime, and he was also arrested by San Bruno police on suspicion of robbery and evading police.
