San Francisco Murder Victim Identified

Police say he was shot in the Excelsior District early Sunday.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A man fatally shot in San Francisco's Excelsior District early Sunday has been identified as 30-year-old Alvaro Palma, according to the medical examiner's office.

Palma, a San Francisco resident, was found with a gunshot wound in the 4200 block of Mission Street around 12:30 a.m., according to police. He died at the scene.

A man who was found at the scene armed with a gun was arrested.
