San Francisco Recorded Its Hottest Temperature Ever On Friday
Not the hottest September 1st. The hottest day since records have been kept.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Temperatures in San Francisco hit 106 degrees today, according to a preliminary estimate, the highest since the National Weather Service began recording temperatures in 1974, a weather official said.
The official numbers have not come out yet, but if the 106-degree number becomes official, it smashes all records for San Francisco, said Brian Garcia, a meteorologist for the weather service.
The previous all-time record for San Francisco was 103 degrees, which was reached June 14, 2000, Garcia said.
