Woman Robbed In Home By Hammer-Wielding Man

The home invasion robbery happened in San Francisco's Visitacion Valley.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A suspect armed with a hammer walked into a woman's home on Monday morning in San Francisco's Visitacion Valley, pushed her and then took her belongings before fleeing, police said.

Officers first responded to a report of home-invasion robbery in the 1000 block of Goettingen Street around 8:30 a.m. Monday, according to police.

Once inside, the suspect allegedly pushed the victim into a bathroom and closed the door. He then took several items, including cash, a cellphone, jewelry and a safe, police said.

The suspect was described as a man between 30 and 40 years old.

The woman, 27, was not injured, according to police.
