(BCN) Steve Jobs, 56, the former CEO of Apple, has died, the company announced Wednesday.
"Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being," a statement on the company's website said.
"Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple."

Jobs stepped down as the head of the tech company in August.
