Hillsdale Shopping Center to Celebrate H&M Opening Thursday

San Mateo shoppers are about to have a at the city's indoor mall.

Hillsdale Shopping Center will kick off the grand opening of its 19,000-square foot H&M with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon on Thursday, event officials said.

The first 100 shoppers will receive H&M T-shirts and an H&M Access to Fashion Pass, valued at $10 to $300.

The event will also offer other opening day prizes, giveaways and a live DJ spinning music in the store.

The new clothing is store is part of the shopping center's renovation of the mall's south end, which includes other new businesses including a Cheesecake Factory and expanded Forever 21.
