Patch Launches iPhone App

Now Patch has even more utility and portability.

The Patch App has arrived and is ready for download on the iTunes App Store. Now you can more easily stay connected with San Mateo Patch, even when you're away from your computer.

Patch's mobile team has worked hard to develop this great product, and it's a major step toward our goal to provide you with great content on various digital platforms.

• What is The Front 5? The Front 5 is the first page to greet you on the iPhone app and contains the most relevant local news, events and editor tweets.
• What is the Favorites feature? We have baked in a feature that lets users cache any Patch content for offline viewing (in airports, subways, etc.). It’s a pretty neat interface!
• When will the app come out on Android? Soon!

With the Patch app, you’ll also be able to get access to the list of events, a directory of San Mateo business listings, including restaurants, automotive care, dry cleaners and anything that you might need, right at your fingertips.

Save. Read about an event on Patch that you want to remember or put on your calendar? You can do that with the iPhone app.

See other towns. Traveling to a nearby Patch town and want to see what’s going on there? You can do that, too! We’ve got the scoop in over 800 towns and are adding more all the time. In California alone, we have 132 Patches, and plenty more from Chicago to the Eastern Seaboard.
