Find out what's happening in San Mateofor free with the latest updates from Patch.

Sense of Place by Melinda Cootsona, an exhibition of abstract and figurative work, combining elements of both. The artist works in the California figurative style of Diebenkorn and Park, vibrant and saturated with a keen sense of light. Using bold brushstrokes, Cootsona strives to convey mystery of place and human moments.

Melinda has been included in exhibitions at the Bakersfield Museum of Art, The San Luis Obispo Plein Air Painting Composition, The Triton Museum and The Coos Bay Museum of Art in Oregon
