New Cake in Town: The Cupcake Store

The is a new specialty cupcake bakery in Santee that opened in the Carlton Oaks Plaza in February.

Cupcake flavors include chocolate peanut butter with marshmallow frosting, strawberry with strawberry frosting, red velvet with raspberry frosting and many more others.

They have standard flavors everyday and feature specialties like the "Man Cake," a maple flavored cupcake with a piece of bacon sticking out of it.

Other items include sugar-free, vegan cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries and knick knacks like handmade aprons and jewelry. You can get anything from one cupcake to snack on or enough for a whole wedding party.

$2.75 for a full cupcake with frosting piled high or minis for $1.50.
