Animal Rights Protesters Detained Near Petaluma (WATCH)
- About 600 activists were demonstrating Monday near Reichardt Duck Farm. The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office said at least 98 were detained.
- "The bear remained a couple of stories up in the tree which drew the attention of the multiple residents and other spectators," police said.
- The 35-year-old mother died near South Lake Tahoe at Eagle Falls, an area her brother said she "visited often and found serenity in."
- The 30-year-old victim underwent surgery at local hospital after being hit in a Novato crosswalk, police said.
Coroner Identifies Woman Killed In Highway 113 Head-On Collision
- The fatal crash happened Thursday evening on state Highway 113 south of Dixon.
- "Good Samaritan" on a motorcycle was injured in hit-and-run after trying to stop suspected vehicular burglars in Golden Gate parking lot.
- With 300 vouchers available each year, the Housing Authority says it will take 90 years to serve every household on the current list.
- Tenants of Meadows at Fountaingrove Apartments were illegally charged a total of $13,000, the DA's Office said.
- Emotional testimony was heard in the case against Isidro Moya, 20, whose best friend, David Etling, 18, of Petaluma was killed in the crash.
