Man Arrested In Home Burglaries Of $6M In Cash, Rolexes And Birkin Bags
It began as a single burglary of an El Segundo home, and bloomed into a Southern California hunt for guns, luxury purses, watches and more.
TEMECULA, CA — A Temecula man was arrested on suspicion of participating in a multi-county high-end organized crime ring, the El Segundo Police Department reported Thursday.
The suspect, whose identity has yet to be released, was charged with residential burglary, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of stolen property from numerous locations. He was also charged with crimes connected to other cities and multiple victims, according to El Segundo Police Department Lt. Eric Atkinson.
On Feb. 25, after following leads from an El Segundo high-end valuables theft, investigators were led to a Temecula home. There, they served a search warrant that led to not only the $600,000 in stolen property reported on Jan. 10 in the El Segundo area of California Street and East Sycamore Avenue, but also additional property believed to be stolen, valued at more than $6 million, according to the El Segundo Police Department.

Detectives are actively following up on leads to find additional victims. "It is believed that this suspect is part of an organized residential burglary crew, operating in multiple jurisdictions, including Los Angeles and San Diego County," Det. Michael Keltner said.
"Be careful what you share on social media because you don't know who may be looking at what you're posting," he told reporters. "Keep your personal profiles private to avoid being scouted by 'organized residential burglary crews."
