Union City Police Arrest Juvenile Suspected in Stabbing
Police officials say the victim is expected to survive.

Police say a juvenile has been arrested in connection to the stabbing of a person in Union City on Monday evening.
According to police officials, around 6:30 p.m., the Alameda County Fire Department requested police to assist them in the 34900 block of Peco St. with a victim who had been stabbed multiple times.
“The victim was immediately transported to Eden Trauma Center for potentially life threatening injuries,” Lt. Matias Pardo said in a statement. “UCPD patrol units developed information on the identity of the suspect his current whereabouts. A short time later, the suspect (juvenile) was located at his residence and taken into custody without incident.”

Pardo says the juvenile was arrested for attempted homicide and was taken to Juvenile Hall. The victim, who was treated for his injuries, is expected to survive.
