Coronavirus In Venice, Mar Vista: 215 Cases

Health officials Monday reported 2,542 new cases across Los Angeles County.

VENICE, CA — Bars and nightclubs were ordered to close in Los Angeles County as the number of coronavirus cases and deaths increased across Los Angeles County Monday.

There are 215 reported cases in Venice and Mar Vista and seven reported deaths, according to Los Angeles County health officials Monday. Last week, there were 194 reported cases and two deaths in Venice and Mar Vista.

Health officials reported 2,542 new cases across the county along with 20 more deaths.

The virus is surging statewide, with Los Angeles County leading the way with more than 97,894 confirmed cases on Monday. The state has recorded nearly 215,417 confirmed cases and 5,934 deaths.
