• Upscale Bay Area retirement community grapples with string of disturbing incidents (sfchronicle.com) — Residents of Rossmoor in Walnut Creek are organizing a community-wide "Day of Listening, Learning and Unity" on Oct. 2 after several recent hateful incidents rattled the senior community. Multiple resident groups and local leaders, including the Contra Costa district attorney's office and Assembly Member Rebecca Bauer-Kahan, will participate in bystander training and discussions aimed at strengthening respect and inclusion among neighbors.
