(wehoonline.com) — West Hollywood residents are seeing overall serious crime down about 10% this year, even as sheriff's deputies made 81% more arrests in August and routine call response times slowed. A Public Safety Commission meeting at City Council Chambers will dig into the arrest spike, pickpocket discrepancies in the Rainbow District, and why some crimes like burglaries and shoplifting are still rising.
   

• Huge 514-home tower that would change WeHo's skyline forever heads for approval (nypost.com) — A 34-story, 514-unit tower at 1000 N. La Brea is headed to the West Hollywood Planning Commission on October 1, potentially rewriting the city's height limits and skyline. The project includes 128 affordable apartments, extensive amenities, hundreds of parking and bike spaces, and a revenue-sharing deal on six integrated billboards.
   

• City of West Hollywood Reminds Community Members to Vote, Vote, VOTE!!! (wehotimes.com) — West Hollywood is gearing up for the November 3, 2026 municipal election, with three City Council seats on the ballot and multiple local vote centers and ballot drop boxes available. Residents get a full rundown of registration deadlines, early voting options, and where and when they can cast or drop off ballots in and around City Hall, Plummer Park, and the Aquatic and Recreation Center.
