Here are the top stories in Boulder today:

  1. Boulder sets pilot plan in motion continue outdoor dining. Boulder City Council is moving toward a more formal citywide outdoor dining pilot program. The plan will kick in once the COVID-19 emergency orders that are currently in place until August. (CO Daily)
  2. Starbucks workers in Superior first to unionize. Workers at the Starbucks in Superior near Coalton Road and Rock Creek Circle filed paperwork to hold an election to unionize last December. The workers voted to unionize, and organized in hopes of receiving better wages and more comprehensive benefits. (9News)
  3. Taking The Waste Out Of Wastewater. Boulder's wastewater treatment folks see sewage as a valuable resource. After the toilet is flushed, few know what happens after that, and Boulder's wastewater engineers are doing some pretty amazing stuff. One of the waste components from the system is renewable natural gas – which 38 of Boulder's garbage trucks run on. (Patch)
  4. Museum of Boulder at the Rotary Club cuts ribbon on new sculpture. In honor of Earth Day, a new sculpture designed by Charles Sturrock was placed at the corner of Canyon Boulevard and Broadway. The kinetic sculpture is part of the Boulder Rotary's Centennial Project. (Yahoo)
  5. U.S Representatives seeking bipartisan ways to address climate change. Seeking to unite with common values, and the threats to them, a panel that included Rep. Joe Neguse, discussed ideas about how to motivate leaders across the country to advance policies on climate action. (CU Today)
