CU Boulder Cancels Conference On World Affairs

The 72nd Conference on World Affairs has been canceled amid the spread of the new coronavirus.

BOULDER, CO — The 2020 Conference on World Affairs at the University of Colorado Boulder has been added to the rapidly-growing list of canceled events in the state due to the spread of coronavirus. The 72nd annual conference was scheduled from April 6 to April 10, but organizers said it was too risky.

"We apologize for any inconvenience and will provide an update if we are able to reschedule the event," read a post on the event's web page. "We appreciate your patience as we navigate this unprecedented situation."

More than 100 speakers from around the world were slated to speak at the conference, which included over 200 events.
