Officials say the bear was euthanized and confirmed by lab tests, and they're urging Durango residents to secure trash, windows, and food as bear activity surges statewide.
   

• Ragged Oak wants to create an experience (durangoherald.com) — A local post-rock band, Ragged Oak, is inviting Durango residents to an immersive, speakeasy-themed show at Durango Coffee Co. on Oct. 2. With a solid new lineup and a fresh single about to drop, they're turning the café into a stage-in-the-round and encouraging guests to dress up and help create a unique concert experience.
