Charges have been filed against a 19-year-old man in the case of two fatal stabbings in Lakewood's Belmar Park, the Jeffco DA's office said.

LAKEWOOD, CO — A man has been charged with first degree murder in connection with two fatal stabbings in Lakewood's Belmar Park earlier this month, the First District Judicial Attorney said. Vicente Enrique Orozco, 19, is being held without bond at the Jefferson County jail.
Orozco is accused of fatally stabbing 61-year-old Stevan Sandvick and 19-year-old Ivan Rivera in separate incidents, the DA's office said.
Lakewood police were called to Belmar Park just after midnight Aug. 15 after a report of a stabbing in the area. Rivera was talking to his friend when Orozco went up and stabbed him multiple times and ran away, police said. Rivera was taken to the hospital, where he died a few days later.
