Case Against Teen Accused Of STEM School Shooting Heads To Trial
A judge has ruled that the case against Devon Erickson, 19, can proceed to trial.

A judge has ruled that the case against one of two teens accused of murder in the STEM School Highlands Ranch Shooting can proceed to trial. The ruling was issued after a two-day preliminary hearing.
Prosecutors pushed to proceed to a trial with more than 40 felony counts against Devon Erickson, 19, who's accused of opening fire at the school May 7.
Erickson's attorneys argued that the teen was pressured to participate in the shooting by Alec McKinney, who also faces murder charges.

Both teens walked into the school and opened fire, police said. Kendrick Ray Castillo, 18, had only three days of school left before graduation when he was killed in the shooting. Eight other students were also shot and injured.
Erickson will be held without bond until his next court appearance. McKinney's preliminary hearing is scheduled for November.
