Child Killed In Farming Accident Saturday: Watertown Police
The child was 4-years-old, police said.

WATERTOWN, CT — The local community and beyond is mourning the death of a young child who was killed in a farming-related accident Saturday afternoon, police said.
At 3:20 p.m., Watertown Police and Fire Departments responded to a field on Barnes Road between Lake Winnemaug Road and Bunker Hill Road for a report of a child entrapped under a farm tractor, police said.
Emergency responders determined that a young child about four years old became entangled within a farm implement that was running, police said. The child was deceased, police said. The family resides in the area, police added. The circumstances are currently under investigation.

"The Watertown Police Department extends our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the child and wishes to express our gratitude to the police officers, firefighters and neighbors who did all they could to help," police said on their Facebook page.
