The death occurred in November 2015, according to authorities.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — A 26-year-old Waterbury drug dealer, whose heroin killed a Woodbridge man, was sentenced to 36 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, announced United States Attorney Deirdre M. Daly Wednesday.
Reginald Miles Jr., also known as “Rocky,” 26, was sentenced by Senior U.S. District Judge Alfred V. Covello in connection with the November 2015 incident. The identity of the Woodbridge victim was not disclosed.
According to Daly and court documents and statements, on November 19 of last year a 22-year-old male died from an apparent heroin overdose at a residence in Woodbridge.

"The investigation revealed that shortly before the victim’s overdose, the victim and two other individuals purchased heroin from Miles in Waterbury. According to the State of Connecticut Chief Medical Examiner, the victim’s death was determined to be acute intoxication due to the combined effects of heroin and Alprazolam (a generic form of Xanax)."
This case stems from an ongoing statewide initiative targeting narcotics dealers who distribute heroin, fentanyl or opioids that cause death or serious injury to users, according to authorities.
