Public Invited to Woodbridge Swearing In Ceremony
The ceremony celebrates the many residents who volunteer their time and service on behalf of the Town
The Town of Woodbridge will host the biannual swearing in ceremony for newly elected and re-elected officials on Wednesday July 1 at 4 p.m. at the Gazebo on the Green. Following the ceremony there will be a reception with light refreshments at the Senior Center. All are invited.
Officials to be sworn in include Woodbridge First Selectman Ellen Scalettar, Board of Selectmen members Anthony Anastasio, Jr., Joseph S. Dey III, Beth Heller, Maria Cruz Kayne and Susan L. Jacobs. Woodbridge Board of Education members Margaret Hamilton, Garett Luciani, Emily Beth Melnick and Lynn Piascyk; Regional Board of Education members Sheila McCreven and Diane Urbano; Board of Assessment Appeals member Claire Elise Coleman; Zoning Board of Appeals members Cynthia Gibbons and Edee Lockyer and Zoning Board of Appeals Alternates Arlene Levine and Spencer K. Rubin.
All appointed board and commission members present will be sworn in prior to assuming their duties on July 1. Appointed board and commission members unable to attend the ceremony should contact the Town Clerk to be sworn in before their votes can be counted.

The swearing in ceremony is a brief but important time that celebrates the Woodbridge community and the many residents who volunteer their time and service on behalf of the Town.
