“Home Health Care providers and other providers who fraudulently bill the Medicaid program drive up the cost of health care for all of us,” said U.S. Attorney Deidre Daly. “The U.S. Attorney’s office is committed to working with our state counterparts to vigorously pursue health care providers that submit fraudulent claims to government health care programs.”
Allegations were made that Family Care VNA fraudulently billed Medicaid for certain home health services when a registered nurse didn't perform 60-day assessments. It's also alleged by the U.S. Attorney's office that the company didn't follow proper procedures to first submit claims to Medicare when some patients may have been eligible for that first over Medicaid.
