Woodbridge Police Chase Ends in 2-Car Crash with Injuries in New Haven: State Police
The incident occurred during evening rush hour on Wednesday.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — Four people were injured Wednesday evening in a two-car crash in New Haven that began when the driver of one of the vehicles allegedly was trying to flee from Woodbridge police, according to state police.
A car driven by West Haven resident Earl M. Staton, 42, t-boned a car driven by Hamden resident Javon Taylor, 20, at about 6 p.m. at the intersection of Edgewood Avenue and Forest Road, state police said.
Staton was allegedly trying to evade a Woodbridge police officer who was trying to pull him over for a traffic stop. As a result of the crash, the intersection was closed for five hours Wednesday for clean up and investigation.

Taylor and two passengers, in addition to Staton, all suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment, according to state police. There were no additional passengers in Staton's vehicle.
State police said Staton was uninsured, but troopers have not disclosed what charges he may face.
