Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter's 'Run to Remember' 5K Set For Sunday At Hammonasset

BRANFORD, CT — The Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter's Run to Remember 5K at Hammonasset Beach State Park is Sunday.

Not a runner? What better place for a good stretch of the legs than Hammonasset? And for an important cause.

"We are so excited for this event," the Shelter noted on social media.

The 5K run to Remember Our Beloved Pets is set for 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Hammonasset, 1288 Boston Post Road. It's $34.92 to run and includes an event t-shirt. Register here.

The Shelter also shared a thank-you to its sponsors. CareFur Veterinarians of Madison is the 5K's main sponsor.

"We'd like to thank them so much for their support," staff noted, describing CareFur as "amazing vets and people, too!"
