BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport police have released the identities of the two people who were stabbed early Sunday in front Club Azul on the corner of Federal Street and Madison Avenue in Bridgeport.

Bridgeport resident Albert Josue Hernandez-Martinez, 25, suffered stab wounds to his torso, head, and extremities in the 1:55 a.m. incident, and died Sunday night at an area hospital, according to police.

While Bridgeport police and emergency personnel were dealing with the Hernandez-Martinez stabbing, authorities learned of a 27-year-old Bridgeport resident, Carlos Richard Martinez-Lopez, who was taken to an area hospital privately. He was suffering from a deep wound/laceration to his torso, police said, and he remains in critical condition as of Tuesday.
