• 2 Juveniles, 2 Adults Arrested After East Side Bridgeport Fight: Police (patch.com) — Bridgeport residents may notice increased police attention on the East Side after officers broke up a midday fight between two juveniles on Noble Avenue and arrested two adults who allegedly interfered. Police say the confrontation escalated when adults approached from a nearby porch, leading to multiple charges including assault, threatening, criminal mischief involving damage to a police car, and interfering with officers.
   

• Defendant Pleads Guilty In Success Village Embezzlement Conspiracy In Bridgeport: Feds (patch.com) — Residents of Bridgeport's Success Village cooperative are learning more about a federal embezzlement conspiracy after a Trumbull man admitted to wire fraud tied to plumbing contracts there. Prosecutors say vendors submitted inflated or bogus invoices for work on heat and hot water systems, diverting hundreds of thousands of dollars while Messina now faces prison, forfeiture, and substantial restitution.
   

• Fairfield starts $8.2 million flood projects after years of Rooster River flooding (ctpost.com) — Work is underway on a major Rooster River flood-control basin at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course, a project Fairfield is building with financial support from Bridgeport, which owns the course. A second basin at Tunxis Hill Park and a future dredging phase aim to reduce repeated flooding in nearby neighborhoods, with substantial progress expected by year's end and final work continuing into the next two years.
